Cucumber Can Reduce Eye Puffiness
Author: Evie Lampard
Cucumber has 90% water in it, reason for it can claim to be a water body. Due of this
amount of water the cucumber is known to be a cooling agent.
Many researches related to puffy eyes and dark circles under the eyes revealed that applying
cold temperature around eye gets the circulation moving. Doctor Fredric Haberman, clinical
instructor of dermatology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City concluded
in his work "The Doctor's Beauty Hotline that cucumber is the answer for eye puffiness.
The skin and cucumber share the same level of hydrogen, thus it becomes easier for it
to reduce swelling, puffiness or big dark circles under the puffy eyes. Cucumber helps in softening
and soothing your skin which can get relaxed in 15-20 minutes.
For good results in having a smooth and glowing skin, you may try this recipe:
Take a medium cucumber and peel it. Then separate seeds. Add 4-5 leafs of fresh mint and make a
fine puree. In a separate bowl, beat an egg white and add it to the cucumber mixture. Keep this
in refrigerator for a half hour and then apply the mixture on your face for 20 minutes. Finally,
rinse it with water and then pat it dry.
